If you died today, would anyone care?

Tombstone

If you’ve never really thought about that question, welcome to the club…

Neither had I, until I read this…

20 Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years.

No one was sorry when he died.  (2 Chronicles 21:20)

So, why was no one sorry?

Why didn’t they care that this guy had died?

Seems like Jehoram was a guy who only cared about himself.

And, the problem with that is when you only care about yourself that doesn’t leave anyone to care about you when you die.

Will anyone care when you die?

Depends on if you care about them while you’re still alive…

So, make the most of today.

You don’t know how many tomorrows you have left…

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.  (Philippians 2:3-4)
