Plan to fail or plan to follow.

2014.

Another year…another chance to make a list of all the things you want to do and be in the next 365 days.

If you consider yourself a Jesus follower, or if you’re wondering what following Jesus is all about, the beginning of a new year gives you another chance to do one of two things…

Plan to fail or plan to follow.

In his book, “The Spirit of the Disciplines,” Dallas Willard puts it this way…

“Either I must intend to stop sinning or not intend to stop.  There is no third possibility.  I must plan to follow Jesus fully or not plan to follow Him.”

Plans.  Intentions.  Resolutions.

Follow Jesus… or not?

You’ve only got two choices.

Plan to fail or plan to follow.

Choose wisely…

“If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me.  If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it.  But, if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.”  Matthew 16:24-25 (NLT)
